Jen Morris

This work in progress explores how a material has become a code to memorialize a version of history. Photographs are paired with historical documents and ephemera to explore how political position, money, de-industrialization, globalization, histories of land control, permanent structural changes to the landscape, and the use of a limited resource have all contributed to a selective edit of an ideal of American cultural memory.
